About the Role
We are looking for a Research Analyst to join our venture team which focuses blockchains technology, DeFi, Layer 1 & Layer 2 solutions, NFTs, GameFi and Metaverse topics. The ideal candidate should have the ability to conduct independent research to compile reports with unique insights. To succeed in this role, candidates should have well-rounded knowledge in finance, economics, technology, data analysis, and genuine interest in cryptocurrencies/ digital assets.
Responsibilities:
Conduct research and analysis on topics such as DeFi, Layer 1 & Layer 2 solutions, NFTs, GameFi and Metaverse, and compile reports for internal & external publications
Assist with publication of research commentaries and papers
Evaluate new and established research sources
Prepare materials that summarize data and draw conclusions to support key business discussions
Suggest research topics and review articles by peers
Identify opportunities and risks for internal investment decision making

Requirements:
Excellent English language skills (both verbal and written communication);
Experience in Financial Services/ Fintech/ Crypto/ TradFi/ Consulting/ Research - has a strong interest in learning disruptive technology, such as digital assets, NFTs, Defi, etc.;
Based in Hong Kong (preferred) or able to work independently and remotely in an Asian time zone (ideally);
Excellent communications skills and strong ability to build relationships;
Experience working cross-functionally with multiple teams in large organizations, including internationally;
Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, manage multiple projects and communicate/simplify concepts to suit the audience's needs; and
Pays attention to details, is self-motivated, and a good team player.
